Cultureous - Washington DC

Starting the app will bring you to the Overview page. See more than 50 of the must-see as well as off-the beaten path attractions.
If you allow location look-up and you are connected to the network or via WiFi then you will also see the approximate distance of each attraction to your current position

Click on map in order to see where all the attractions are located. You will also see your own location (green pin).
By clicking on any of the attraction pins, a pop-up will list the attraction's name.
If you click on the arrow in the pop-up box, the app will lead you to this attraction's detail page.

Please also note that the map opens within the application - i.e. it will NOT close.

The attraction's detail screen lists all the basics:

• How to get there by public transportation
  
• When is it open (today!)
• The phone number (click on it in order to call)
• The address (click on it to get immediate directions from your current location to this attraction)
• The web site (click on it to open the web site within the app)
• Short description
• And of course a link to see and learn much more

For each attraction there are 4-6 carefully selected insight items.
Here you can find streaming audio, links to podcasts, YouTube videos, websites and even links to audiobooks or other iPhone apps.

Most of the selected items will open within the application itself so that you don't have to leave it. For YouTube videos the current technical limitations didn't allow for an in-App experience so that Cultureous will close in order to launch the selected YouTube video. The user will need to open Cultureous again after finishing watching the video.

There are great things to know about Washington which are not directly linked to a specific memorial, museum or so on.
